These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of californiasafedriver.com, all related subdomains, student portals, and any courses, services, products, or communications provided by California Safe Driver.

California Safe Driver is operated by Cobert Safety Professionals LLC, a California limited liability company doing business as California Safe Driver ("CSD," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing the Website, creating an account, enrolling in a course, checking any acknowledgment box, submitting payment, or participating in a course, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Website or enroll in any course.

Use of the Website is also governed by our Privacy Policy and any additional posted policies incorporated by reference.


Program Description

California Safe Driver provides National Safety Council defensive driving and driver improvement programs, including live instructor-led courses and self-paced online courses.

Nothing on the Website, in course materials, or during instruction constitutes legal advice, legal representation, or a guarantee of any legal outcome.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, California Safe Driver programs are not California DMV-licensed traffic violator school programs for confidential conviction masking or DMV point reduction.

Acceptance of any program is determined solely by the referring court, probation department, agency, employer, insurer, or other requesting entity.

Acceptance varies by jurisdiction, judge, case type, employer, and agency.

Students are responsible for confirming acceptance requirements before enrollment.


Eligibility

You must be at least sixteen (16) years old to create an account or enroll unless a course specifically states otherwise.

If you are under eighteen (18), you represent that a parent or legal guardian has authorized your enrollment and accepts responsibility for payment obligations, compliance with course requirements, and adherence to these Terms.

You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and enrollment.


Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity occurring under your account.

CSD may suspend or terminate accounts containing inaccurate, misleading, duplicate, fraudulent, or incomplete information.


Enrollment and Payment

Enrollment is not complete until payment is successfully processed.

CSD may refuse or cancel enrollment for:

Payments are processed through third-party payment providers. Credit card information is entered directly into the payment processor's secure system and is not stored on CSD servers.

Tokenized payment references may be retained for approved future charges such as replacement certificates, replacement workbooks, rescheduling fees, or other authorized charges.


Live Online Course Requirements

Students enrolled in live online courses must comply with all participation requirements.

Students disconnected for extended periods may be removed from class or required to retake the course.

Failure to comply with course requirements may result in dismissal without refund.


Course Materials and Certificates

Certain courses require physical workbooks or materials.

Certificates of completion are issued only after successful completion of all course requirements.

Replacement certificates or materials may require additional fees and identity verification.

CSD reserves the right to withhold certificates when course requirements are not met.


Attendance, Rescheduling, and Refunds

Enrollment reserves limited class space, instructor time, administrative resources, and course materials.

Unless otherwise required by law:

CSD reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses when reasonably necessary.

If CSD cancels a course and does not provide a reasonable alternative course option, students may be offered either:

(a) transfer to another available course, or
(b) a refund of tuition paid for the canceled course

CSD is committed to providing reasonable accommodations consistent with applicable law.

You may opt out of nonessential SMS communications by following the unsubscribe or opt-out instructions contained in the message.

Consent to receive communications is not a condition of purchasing services where prohibited by law.


Intellectual Property

All website content, course materials, text, graphics, videos, branding, systems, workflows, and software are owned by CSD or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

No content may be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, sold, or used commercially without prior written authorization.

Governing Law and Venue

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of California without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any legal action arising from these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the appropriate state or federal courts located in California.


Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.


Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional posted policies incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between the parties regarding use of the Website and services.


Modifications

CSD may update these Terms periodically.

Updated Terms become effective upon posting to the Website unless otherwise stated.

Continued use of the Website or participation in services after updates constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.
